01/ Vision
To accelerate the transition to a world where all mobile applications are powered by the perfect battery.
02/ Mission
To make optimised batteries accessible for emerging e-mobility markets through continuous innovation in scalable assembly technologies.
Our Founders.
Raeon was born out of shared experience on the frontlines of the EV revolution. Having led high-growth technical and operational battery teams at EV companies, co-founders Murray Schofield and Tom Brooks witnessed a recurring roadblock in the industry: the gap between vehicle innovation and battery accessibility.
They saw that manufacturers were constantly forced into a corner—either compromise their vehicle design to fit an off-the-shelf battery or face exorbitant costs and multi-year lead times for a custom solution. They realised that for electrification to truly scale, the industry needed a new approach: custom batteries delivered at a commercial price point and speed that actually makes business sense.
Combining Murray’s physics-led technical expertise with Tom’s operational rigor, they established Raeon to remove the barrier to entry. Their goal is simple: to stop manufacturers from compromising and start accelerating the transition to a fully electric future.
Murray Schofield
CEO

Murray combines deep technical physics expertise with a proven track record in high-growth operational environments. A Forbes 30 Under 30 lister, he previously served as Head of Electrification at Forseven & Battery Lead at Arrival, where he delivered a 50MWh battery production line & built teams of over 30 engineers. Holding a 1st Class MSci in Physics, Murray acts as Raeon's Technical Authority, overseeing the FloLock™ architecture & product validation for mass-market adoption.
Tom Brooks
COO

With over a decade of experience in composites and EV batteries, Tom bridges the gap between complex engineering and commercial operations. Formerly the Programmes & Operations Lead at Arrival, he managed teams of engineers, technicians and operational staff and was instrumental in scaling start-ups. Tom ensures rigorous governance and customer assurance at Raeon, managing critical forecasting and quality systems while driving continuous improvement.
